Mountain Biking - Are these decent bikes?

I may have a chance to get a bike at 10% below cost. And saw these 2 bikes there.

the Jeep Rubicon Sport AWD bike http://www.superfoots.com/rubiconsport.html

or the Iron Horse Quantum bike.

I'm not really sure about either, one is a Car company?!? What do you guys think, would it be worth my money?

Jeep bikes are not real bikes, another bike company that makes cheep bikes payes jeep to let them use the name so they can get by on pure name recognition when in truth the bikes are no good. My LBS (Local Bike Shop) is not a fan of Iron Horse, they are one of those brands that copies a lot of other companies frames and doesnt do as well at it. If you are tight on cash, i'd get the Iron Horse, they arent gerat but they are "decent". How much are you looking to spend?

Out of those two, I would say the Quantum is the better bike, but their site sucks and it's a real ***** to navigate and find out.

Someone better alert Sam Hill, and the rest of the world class mad catz racing team that they are riding mere sub par copies of better bikes! dw-link is terrible. I mean, sure ibis and independent does it....but IH does it terribly.

Agreed, I would choose a REAL mountain bike maker instead of car company which makes bicycles. Eg

What a pro rides and what is available to the masses as an entry-level bike are worlds apart. About 32 A.U.s, if you're curious.

IH are solid bikes. No better or worse than many other major manufacturer.

Thanks guys for your insight. I figured that would be the answer for the jeep bike, but you never know. As far as Iron Horse, I've heard two different opinions. One, there not so good, and two, their great. These opinions were not just from you guys, but I figured i'd ask you guys anyway.

Any bike that gets sombody into riding is a good bike.

good point :D, but here in Malaysia, kids usually started out with bicycles and after that at around the age of 12 (ive seen lower) they will learn to ride motorbikes. And when they crashed their parents will be like OMG!!!

Never buy a Jeep. Go with the iron horse.
