Southern California - The New, new Jersey Order Thread

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The last thread got wiped out so let's try again. I included a ton of information in the last post but I don't remember most of it so I'm going to keep it pretty simple on this go-round.
The costs are:
$59 for short sleeve
$56 for sleeveless
$69 for long sleeve
Price Breakdown:
Bikeforums.net Jersey #2 (this is the one with the black sleeves...someone will probably post a pic)
Shipping from Champion to me
Shipping from me to you via USPS Priority Mail, with insurance
PayPal fees
$3 Donation to the cjbruin sleeveless jersey fund
To order, send me a PM with the following info:
Style preference - Short Sleeve, Sleeveless, or Long Sleeve
Cut preference - Race, Club, or Women's
Zipper preference - Full, 3/4, or 1/2

Cheers.

I'm not sure but I think the answer would be "no" because they have a different template for artwork. Now, that said...if we can get 10 jersey orders and we can convince James to put together artwork for a tri top, we can order those too. The way Champion works is that if you order 10 of one style (i.e. Short Sleeve Jersey) you can order onsies and twosies of other styles.

I will send my order and money later today, CJ, a little busy this morning. Muchos gracias.
CJ, I know that my sleeveless #2 jersey was covered under the 1st order, as was every zipper option, and cut. Champion is pretty good about that.
I will also be sending you some cash to cover the cost of my new jersey (#6!!!) I would like an
XL - 3/4 Zip - Race Cut - Short Sleeve jersey that looks like this...

Phil, I hear what you are saying but tri-tops are different than sleeveless bike jerseys. Anyway, I'm glad you are ordering another one, so far we haven't achieved the minimum for an order.

HOW do you manage? we have 3 closets in the house plus the coat closet and it's STILL not enough room! Hey all - getting ready to get one of these. Any feedback on how the fit compares to Castelli Squadra? I usually take a XL in Castellie but a L in everything else. I want to do the race cut.

The consensus is that they run small (though, I think they're just racey-snug-like :p). I took measurements for the original order thread based on the samples, and will try and dig it up and repost here.
My only problem with the size that I originally ordered is that it is a bit short across the shoulders and down the torso. I am going with the XL this time which will not be as tight... my recomendation would be the XL for you.
I am 5'11", 160 lbs..

Castelli Squadra runs really really really small too. Their large is much too snug and I normally like a snug fit. I'll probably just get an XL to be safe.
I have a Squadra jersey at home (race cut), I'll compare them this weekend

Hi CJ, I can pay now - just not sure on the sizing. That's the only thing holding me up. I'm thinking I might just do an XL race cut but Extort was going to compare to his Squadra stuff so I can get a better idea of size/fit....

No worries...figure out what you need. I won't need the payment until I send the order in.

Measurements I took of the samples, from armpit seam to armpit seam, with fabric laid flat, but not stretched:
S=18.5" --> ~37" chest
M=19.5" --> ~39" chest
L=20.5" --> ~41" chest
XL=21.5" --> ~43" chest
Contrary to the Champion Size Chart (http://www.customcyclewear.com/sizechart.htm), I found the race cut and club cut were similar in the chest in a given size. However, race cuts taper in the waist, while club cuts are fuller.

WOW! the long sleeve material is NICE! fuzzy... it's gonna keep me warm!
james did an awesome job... got me my red "stripe" under the arms! i haven't tried it on yet... will do so shortly... but it looks like it's going to fit fine!
i think i was expecting the long sleeves in the same lightweight material... the fuzzy stuff does cut down considerable on wearable time... but with a nice sports bra or even shimmel underneath... i can take it off...
i got full zip... so it's really a nice warm "jacket" too!
soooooo anyone looking for something warmer.... it's nice stuff!

long sleeves cost more.... i forget exactly how much more... but a bit more! cj will be able to tell you or james can...! but they do fulfill the minimum or count as part of the order! (i want to say $10 more???? but don't quote me! lol!)
ya... it's really nice and james did an AWESOME job!! thank you for the red "stripe" under the sleeve! it just sets it off!
i love the fuzziness! i want to wear it to bed!
OH... and i got to try it on... fits nicely! definitely not tight at all! some looseness just like i like!!!! gives me room to move or even add an undershirt if i needed it! lol!
i may have to wear it when i go out and freeze my tukis off in the predicted cold and WIND we're supposed to get here tomorrow!

i think i started a trend! lol! ya.... it's gorgeous! (and i'm thinking i need a SS or sleeveless one cuz since it's so fuzzy... it will limit the time i can wear it! ya ya ya.... i know i said i don't buy two of the same jersey... but i'm sayin'!)
speaking of that... can someone post a couple of good pics of the sleeveless version? i know what the SS one looks like from all the pics and that's what hubby got.... but i'd like a better pic of the SS...
