Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

K2 Zed Sport Bike '06 for about $220.00

or 2006 Motobecane 400HT for about $330.00

Does anyone have any advice on these bikes??? I'm a beginner who will be riding on medium difficulty terrain trails.

Thanks,
MH

Welcome to the forums Matt. I figured some links might help you out in responses, so I've added links:

K2 Zed Sport Bike '06 for about $220.00 (http://www.rei.com/outlet/product/48137874.htm)
2006 Motobecane 400HT for about $330.00 (http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/motobecane_400HT.htm)

If you don't find anything on Craigslist, I'd suggest the Motobecane of all you've mentioned.

since you are a beginner, at that price, get yourself a good hardtail. Im sensing the word Hardrock coming up :p

Hehehe, that's a job for me.
Get a Hardrock!

K anywhoo wheelhot is correct, for your price range you will be much better off getting a HT with higher end components. Does not have to be a Hardrock but I strongly recommend them.:D

to the OP - K2s are decent bikes for the price, they do a better job than a good number of companies in that lower price range, i feel

Matt, try to find end of the year close-out specials on the Hardrock.
