I have discovered after six weeks of riding that at least one of my studs on my Hakka 120 front tire has a shattered stud - the 'foot' is in but it is hollow, it seems the carbide stud has popped out. I recognise that losing a few studs is par for the course and won't affect handling much - but I had expected the whole chunk to fall out rather than falling apart.
The innova front that I ran last year just wore down to flat steel plates after about 700 km or so. So far I have run the nokian for about 500 km and the other studs look pretty close to new (it has been a lot snowier and icier in Calgary than last year though). My Schwalbe snow stud in the rear shows little sign of wear (about 250 km) and is free of the surface rust that I see on the Nokian after a night in the bike locker.
Has anyone else seen this from the Nokians?
