"Zoom, zoom, zoom," the song on the car commercial goes. The kid on a bike eventually graduates to an adult in a car.

Humbug.

Where I live, traffic is getting thicker and thicker all the time. Forget about the driver with a broad smile zipping across open countryside. Picture gridlock, zooming nowhere, everyday.

The commercial should show me on my bike, "Zoom, zoom, zoom,"
flying past cars stuck in traffic jams, with a big smile on my face.
I almost never have to stop for anything.

That commercial has been bugging me lately. It was hammered into me hard at the movie theater. I've been trying to work out a parody and all I can come up with is "Doom, Doom, Doom" and VW crashes. hmmm
I'm thinking too much now.
I'll think of something... gotta go

I'm a duh... it was mazda... I guess it wasn't as pounded into my head as I thought it was.

But a couple of bikes on the road (I want a piece of this too you know) would stuff up the shot! Who knows, they might even go out and actually buy a bike :eek:

I named my bike Zoom after that commercial, simply because I feel like "Zoom! Zoom! Zoom!" when I'm on those wheels! Cycling is THE WAY to ZOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! :D

Have you noticed that some car commercials don't show the driver "zooming" anywhere? The occupants appear to be having a party in their car. Like in the one where the song has the following line in it, "Line it up baby." I've even heard the music for this "song" on a local radio station.
Maybe that's why traffic doesn't move very fast. Everybody's partying instead of driving. ;)

Are we missing something by riding our bicycles instead of driving?
Well I for one am not going to stop riding to find out.

I believe that they show a dude riding a skateboard in the commercial too. I think that's funny because I used to have a car that people called a skateboard, but they didn't mean it as a complement.
