Hey All.

Anyone know where to get some good high-visibility, breathable T-shirts for commuting? Preferably not cotton.

the polyester ones are tl*108 and ts*106

Thanks for the replies. The safetyline shirts should work well it looks like.

Have you thought about running T-shirts? I've got a collection of bright technical running shirts (mostly Nike). The yellow is particularly bright.

"View From" did a horrendously bright yellow long sleeve top. Running tops have the advantage that often they have reflective logos writing added to them.

Good idea on the running shirts. I'll have to look into those too. I have a few semi-bright synthetics now, but they always seem to be in the washing machine when I need them!

Campmor.com has some Duofold hi-performance tshirts for $6.97. Here is the link:

I have many Duofold products in coolmax, coolmax alta, hydroduct, and thermax. All are similar great-wicking, silky fabric. Performance and other places sell the same exact shirts for $20-30 on sale just with a different brand name. Campmor and sierratradingpost.com often have exceptioinal bargains on Duofold products. You just need to sign up for their email specials and check the websites often to catch some amazing clearance deals. The "product" or "event" logo on some items are small unobtrusive "Duofold" or "Ironman" on the sleeve, nothing obnoxious. I just order 6 of these shirts in 3 different colors yesterday.

Just ordered some coolmax T-shirts (no zippers or pockets) from sierratradingpost.com for $10/shirt. They have free shipping until the end of the day so you better hurry. They have a variety of colors.

edit: just noticed rainman's post. These are duofold also so campmor is probably a better deal unless their shipping is outrageous.

i just got an illuminite jersey for my birthday from my sweet girlfriend. it's cool, because it's a dark color, and in regular daylight it looks like a normal jersey. but when a light is shined at it, it glows bright white. they make various styles of high-vis bike gear:

Illuminite also makes some pull-on arm warmers that are incredibly visible. You can pull them on next to any other jersey-like shirt.
As for breathable wicking (non-cotton) shirts, i've been seeing more and more of them being sold at running and biking stores. Places like REI have ones that look and feel just like cotton.
