Cool bike.

I think it' restorable though there's a caveat that I've only seen your pics.

Even if wheels/drivetrain are gone I don't think the frame has terminal cancer and that stem is a sure fire winner.

Since it's already been repainted the whole "patina" thing is moot.

Put some wheels on it and take it for a ride.

I know someone who lives in Parkville that knows quite a bit about old bikes. He might be willing to take a look at it and give you some tips on restoration if you ask him nicely.

clean those wheels up and save them! Do not dispose of anything. I would keep it as original as possible if it were mine.

That would be great. I sent a PM with my contact information.

I will post some detail pictures as I start to clean it up. I hope someone will be able to identify it or at least determine an age.

If someone determines that it is a real museum piece worthy of a thorough restoration, I may try to find it a more deserving home. Other wise I may try to leave it as original as possible and just make it rideable, or put all the parts in a box and put new ones on, or something in between.

Take the bike to Larry Black at Mt. Airey bicycles
http://www.bike123.com/

He is extremely knowledgable about old bikes.
