So my wife and I rented "A Prairie Home Companion" on DVD about a month ago. I really like the radio show on NPR, but was a little uncertain about the movie, so didn't see it in the theater. I had pretty good reviews, I recall, not raving but solid. Well, I am STILL fuming about what a total, complete, dismal crapfest that movie was. Every time I think of it I get mad all over again! God, it was HORRIBLE! I demand my rental money back, and punitive funds. I demand to get MORE damages paid out every time I think of that crapola movie due ot mental trama!

There, I hope that the carthasis of this rant will free me, free me at last, from the curse of exposing my eyes to that dreadful nightmare.

Yes I always thought that the shows and/or DVDs would be crap.
Thanks for making sure for me :D

thanks for the heads-up on that one. I heard that Silent Bob's friend (don't know his name) did a rant about why Star Wars were better than the Lord of the Rings. Why did he think that?

Mars, by the time that Jay got into it about the whole SW vs. LotR, I had lost my attention. It was painful, just painful, that movie! Don't even start me on the whole donkey scene.....

I haven't seen it yet, but somehow I feel y'all must be missing something, generally Robert Altman movies are quite good in my experience.

I saw it. It was okay, but I was surprised and disappointed that it didn't have any Lake Woebegone. That's a source for 2 or 3 movies.

I think it's hit or miss with him. Nashville is a masterpiece, which makes me only more upset that this movie was so bad.
