Bicycle Mechanics - advice on buying bike tools in Europe.

First of all , for starter mechanics, not sure how large of a tool kit to buy. Mostly like to putz around with repairs such as bottom brackets, hubs, brakes, deraillerus. Gonna first get some used beater bikes to just start with in order to get used to applying my bike manuals to real exercies; before I'd venture to my bikes.
can you buy a decent set of tools on line. ? To whom would you turn for a decent set of tools . I figure a starter kit is not 100% complete, I can buy additional tools as needed. Like quality along with a decent price.

I think that VAR of France Has always made some of the best bike tools. They're expensive in the U.S. due to the exchange rate, so you may be able to get good deals over there.

I'm also having a hard time finding tools, especially anything beyond allen wrenches (like BB spanners, truing stands, headset wrenches, cone wrenches...)

I've been using Roseversand's web shop: http://www.roseversand.de. Their English product descriptions are a bit funny sometimes, but otherwise it's a reasonably good shop. They have some tools available, and at least one tool kit. From their main page go "Accessories" - "Care/Maintenance". I've only ordered parts, panniers etc. from them, so I have no idea how their tools compare to others in terms of pricing or quality.

Cyclus makes good quality tools at reasonable prices that you should be able to track down in Europe quite easily.
