Bicycle Mechanics - disk problems

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a Garry Fisher Tassajara Disk version, and I noticed that whem I press the brake, (I noticed the front one and haven't checked the rear one yet) the disk bends slightly inwards as the pads press it. Is this normal or do I need a setting. The disk are Hayes Mechanical.
Thanks a lot
Normal that's how it contacts the other pad.
