Has anybody heard from Flic lately? Her website hasn't been updated for over a year.

She has recovered, finished physical therapy. She has resumed surfing and bikig and all that.

Re being prepared with gear. I tend to travel in africa with tools and some spares, but I think in many parts of africa it would be possible to ride without even a pump and depend upon other riders. Possible i said, maybe not desireable way to travel.

Sounds like she has made a complete recovery. Glad to hear it.

This is the craziest thread I've ever read - to see the progression from "this is obviously a joke" to "wow she is doing it" to "the haters who thought she wasn't riding enough of the trip" to "her accident" is amazing.. like some movie

I also read the entire thread several months ago. It is/was interesting.
