http://www.specialized.com/OA_MEDIA/2003/bikes/aelite18blwh_l.jpg Even though I don't have the money as yet, not even a dollar, what do you think of this for a mid range bike with full Shimano 105. 105 is deffinetly (spelling!) what I want. I have chosen a double over the triple.

Here are the stats (http://www.specialized.com/SBCBkModel.jsp?san=03AllezElite18INTL&bl=road)

I just have to go and find some prices for it now......

The US colors are brushed sliver.

Yup, I've got one, it's great.

We have the option of Brushed silver OR Blue Zebra.... I haven't set eyes on one yet but I do like the one in the photo!

You are a man of few words, fubar. I was hoping for a few more comments so I know what to expect of the bike. Handling/climbing characteristics etc. Whats the ride smoothness like?

I'm jealous of the Blue Zebra..aargh.

It seems pretty smooth to me...I was expecting to get killed since it is Al but road vibration hasn't been a problem for me so far.

It climbs. The first time I did a I could hardly believe it. I would stand for a few seconds and I could feel that if I started cranking, I would rocket up the hill..So I sat back down until I could see my friend starting to work hard. Then BAM!! Power to the pedals! I think I hit 25 mph going up that hill, which usually kept me down around 19 or so.

I don't have alot to compare to though, my last bike was a noodly steel Bianchi that was almost as old as me.

Alas I thought the sloping top tupe would be because of the smaller frame size that bike companies always seem to use in their photos? I would be most likely looking at the 58cm version :p I'm a "tall bastard" according to my parents.....
