Introductions - Hello from Rancho Cucamonga, Ca!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi all. Obviously I'm new. My name is Stephen. I've been riding for about 5 years now, mostly road, and recently mountain.
Other things I'm involved with is the Friends of the Pacific Electric Trail, a Rails to Trail organization that raises funds for improvements to my city's segment of the Pacific Electric rail line and bike awareness in the community.
If you want to check it out, you can see the route at www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Pacific-Electric-Trail-complete
We're also going to hold a bike event of some sort (to be determined) around mid-May or so.
Our web site is at www.pacificelectrictrail.org/
And again, Hi!
Welcome Dipster,
I checked out the bike path map. I'll have to check it out soon. What are the access points to the trail?
You might want to post a link in the Southern California regional forum. Lots of riders from that neck of the woods.

The current planned entrances are where the trail crosses each major street. For example at Etiwanda Ave, Day Creek, Haven, etc.
They only released the job to bidding, and hopefully should start construction in the spring of next year.

Hmmm,
I thought that because the name of the map was: Pacific Electric Trail (complete), it was, like, complete. When's the scheduled completion date?
Welcome! Do make sure to drop by the SoCal regional subforum and introduce yourself there, too.

Well, the scuttlebutt says the first phase will be completed by June. But you know how governments are about sticking to schedules. :)
