Foo - I'm a sucker for a pretty face

One of the gals here at work came back from lunch with the cutest little pup she found wandering the streets of this little town. Turns out our office manager has been wanted to get a dog, so we talk to the local cops and find that this little pup has been sighted wandering for like 4 days now and nobody has reported a dog missing. So happy ending for our office manager, right? Wrong - she and her fiance are not getting married and a house until spring and her mom threw a cow about her bringing a dog home. I coulda just kept my mouth shut, minded my own business...BUT NOOOOOO! You guessed it, I volunteered to take her.

On the bright side, she's about Thor's size and seems like she's gonna be a real good dog...I won't Thor be surprised that daddy brought him home a girlfriend! I'm a sucker...someone please shoot me and put me out of my misery!

Edit: crap, I guess I gotta ride home and drive back to get her, I don't think she'll fit in my saddlebag!

Strays are the best. That's how we've collected our little zoo. It's amazing to see the changes in an animal once they've been loved and cared for.

Well she's home, bathed and fed. She and Thor get along well and she's checkin everything out...well at least everything that's within 10 feet of where I happen to be. She didn't much like getting a bath, though Thor seemed to take an evil satisfaction out of seeing somebody besides him in the tub!

Ok now comes the hard part. I made a 'found' poster last night, with a better pic, that I'll put around town here where I found her. I'd hate to think of some kid missing his/her dog around Christmas, so I gotta make the effort.

Update: I just got a call from the owner. She's a nurse who works down near where I live and a single mom of two little girls. Gonna take the dog, named 'beagle-girl' back down to her family in a couple of hours. It's like I always say, miracles happen and dreams come true around Christmas. :)

Well that takes care of that. It was nice to see the look on the faces of a 4yr old boy and a 5yr old girl when they got their puppy back! No way I was taking Explody though, the mom was way hot! I told her that if she gets loose and we find her wandering again, at least we know where she lives. (the dog, not the mom, get yer minds outta the gutter!) ;)
