Sorry fubar!! Today the site was down due to DNS issues, i added a 3rd DNS server to the domain so that never happens again.

Joe, do you mean DSN? If not, what is DNS? And how does 3 help?

That complicated eh?

Not really... i just dont know how to explain it.

From what i understand... Dns servers point domains to IP's, the forums are located on an IP and the domain BikeForums.net points to the IP of 216.215.238.193. However, the server that has this information was crashed by hackers. Usualy there are two different servers, in two different locations, if one goes down, the other shows users where they can find the site. Today, both of these servers crashed due to hackers. I added a 3rd computer to show users the IP where there browser can find BikeForums.net, whew! :)

I did to. I think we(all of us who have had 666 at some point) all tried to get past that 666 as fast as possible.

It would be nice if malicious hackers (as opposed to the good kind) would take up something productive, like cycling, website design--or Red Cross volunteering....
