I have a Brooks B17 on a early-70's Nuovo Record seatpost.

Currently the saddle rails are level to the toptube. Now that the leather is broken in some, I would like to tilt the nose down just a hair. The only problem is that the front adjustment clamp is bottomed out on the post.

Is there something I can do to get some more adjusment out of the seatpost or am I out of luck?

Thanks

Good question, I hope I don't encounter this problem when I mount my B17 on a Nouvo record post!!

Everything is quite comfy as is. I just know it could be better.

I usually find that I have to loosen both bolts considerably, reposition the clamp, and then tighten down. That pivot point on the clamp can get kind of balky, so it takes some finessing.

That seems to have done it. I loosened everything up, tilted the lower rails on the seatpost to about where I wanted it and then tightened and fine tuned the upper clamps.

Thank you, Neal.
