I haven't kept up with the 2006 or 2007 Fox forks. What forks have black uppers?

yeah, its a 07 Fox, but its not a F-series Fox, I believe It could be either Float, Talas, Vanilla or Van. Pedals are eggbeater twin TI

The Van is a part of the 36mm line-up. Likely not something erhan would be getting unless he is building a beefier bike!

I kinda figured that out because he is using a EggBeater, which means it would be a XC/Trail and and maybe a All-Mountain bike. I dont think it would be a XC race bike because if not he will be using a Fox F-Series

Uh-oh...you can't build an XC race bike with any other Fox fork than the F-Series? I didn't know that...

no, I mean that mose people will use a Fox F-Series on their race bike because that is what the F-series are designed for and it is lighter then other Foxes
There's only a difference of a couple hundred grams between the F-Series and the Float...the bigger difference is the additional travel (80-100mm vs. 130-140mm).

but isnt 130-140mm overkill for a XC race bike?

These were made for Specialized, I don't think black will be available in stores. The valve is under the blue cap on the left. :)
