Here is my new Pinarello. It seems to be from the mid 90's according to the seller. I would like to know if anyone can id the frame for me. I am torn between tracking down the period correct Record components or going with new Campy parts. Any advice or opinions would be welcome.

Nice looking frame. I have no idea what model it is but I am keenly interested to learn.

FWIW - since the mid 90's Campy gear included Ergo and hasn't undergone wholesale overhauls, I wouldn't hesitate to put a new 10 speed group on it.

I'm not sure I'd put the new Record brakes on it though.

Anyway, nice frame and good luck with the build.

2006 Alloy Record Cranks, 06 Centaur or Chorus brakes, 07 Chorus everything else. That's wha I'll be putting on my Gazelle one of these days and that frame is much older than your new (to you) Pinarello.

It looks to be a mid-90's Prologo Time Trial. I almost bought one last year.

A mix of old/new Campy would work fine. I suggest the new Record crankset that only has the shield logo, not the newer one that has "Record" etched on it.

Great frameset!

Am I the only one who thinks the carbon finish on the latest Campag Record crankset looks as if it came off a cheap Hot Wheels car?

Sweet looking frame. Go aluminum Campy Record. Carbon just wouldn't be right on a sweet steel ride like that in my opinion.

Or better yet, go Sora, just to throw em off.

Thank you for the replies. I think I will go with new Veloce brakes { I have already** And a mix of Centaur and Record { no carbon**. I was looking for an older model with downtube shifters but finding one in my size is hard. This was in such great shape I could not pass it up.
