The only problem with that is I might not want to come back!

(I'm looking at the Sun Coast, by the way! Possible Uni transfer!)

If you can do it. Lots and lots of really warm weather and really really bad fashion sense up on the sunshine coast lol

Hey, it's only the dingo scrapers that are the filthy viccies!

Here in sheep shagger central, we're mostly descended from conservative reformist Victorian English emigrants. That probably explains a lot about NZ culture :p

I thought they were conservative reformist Victorian Scottish emigrants. Hence the preponderance of Scottish place names.

Oh yes, and best wishes for the festive season to everyone.

True, there were more than a few Scots emigrated as well. Towns springing up back in the late 1800s tended to be quite regional in their makeup of expats as they would generally have started from one shipload of pioneers. All Scots, Lancs, Yorkshire, Danish etc.

Happy silly season everyone.

I'm about half way through the corporate Christmas parties, I still have some brain cells left for now.

Actually, I have some relatives somewhere down around Dunedin. Emigrated from Scotland in 1904 and that's the last info on them as of now other than they did show up in immigration records, and that's where the trail ended.
