Yeah, the edwins are good. I haven't tried Longnecks yet, but I might when these wear out a little more.

I can only ride Edwins. I hate the Gary Young grips- they don't even feel soft.

I used to love the young grips but then i realised that they were wayyy too thin. Edwins wear down too quickly and therefore Longnecks take my vote

They are only $10 and not much of a hassle to put on... do you really have to complain at how fast they wear down? I think it's sheer laziness... which I happen to understand quite a bit.

Mine have lasted since May, and they still have some life left in them.

The Gary Young grips are terrible. They are like Longnecks that have been chopped up. My longnecks took all of 2 days to wear off that like clear coat that makes them shinyish black and get soft and nice. Now they are really really soft and aren't wearing down at all really...
Edwins feel nice, 2 of my freinds have them.

I love my edwins besides the fact that you will have black all over your hands just from touching them. They also don't fair too well if your hands are wet/sweaty.
Edit: After not riding for so long and my hands getting rid of all of the callouses (sp), I wouldn't mind some gloves.

i have/had edwins and they wore down too fast for me. I also had the fit ribbed grips and those wore down in a week.
the grips im going to be getting are the ruben grips. The main reason is I only wear down my left grip so i can just buy singles.

1.)Ruben grips
2.)demolition missle grips
3.)Edwin grips& ODI longnecks
4.)S&M grips they wear down and are thin but are still comfertable(sp?)
5.)double sided tape with gloves(it works)
right now i ride one white ruben grip, one black demolition missle grip (don't ask why)

No one will ever ride double sided tape with gloves. Not only do your hands stick to the tape, but so does dirt and everything else you can think of and then won't have any grip at all... and it's just not comfortable.

I hate to break it to you, but Ruben grips are pretty much the same as the Edwins and longnecks, except the mushroom things are cut up. They are just as soft.

My ODI's have barely worn down, i like it though normally i go through grips fast.
My friend's Rubens don't look like they are wearing down too fast.
And i consider Rubens close to the ODI grips because they are basically offset cut up mushroom things. And they feel about the same with the exception that the Rubens have that weird taper at the end instead of just a bump where the bar ends meet the grips. But i just cut that part off my Longnecks.
Oh and good luck getting your Ruben nylon bar ends off, i have i had to bang mine in with a rubber mallet, so god only knows how to get them off...

I think they are a waste of money... if I can get them for free I'll take them, but I don't want to spend $20 on them.

Thats why i liked the Ruben nylon ones! I paid like $3 for mine. And they come free if you get the grips.
They are the same weight as the Kink barends that are getting all that hype, but yet no screws and simpler. I just don't know how you get them out. Haha.

Drill them out... just don't hit your bars by accident.
Not a bad parts list. But why City LT rim? They bend pretty fast. Look into a 7K Balance or ODY 7KA...great rims.
I run Edwins too...love them.

That's actually pretty smart. If he holds onto his parts for a year, they will only decrease in value, but if he sells them now and keeps the money, he can buy new and good quality parts in a year.
