A friend of mine and a LBS store employee said they mark my initials on a calendar and days I do not stop by.
Last purchase -last week, Power bar, new tube, and new pair of PI road shoes. I am a sucker for bike stuff on sale.. Does their catalogue count.. Yesterday bought a bottle of Gore Revivex..

It's been a few years so I got a new helmet - Giro Animas (red). Lots of vents. :beer:

I know its listed as a mountain bike helmet :eek: but I liked the looks and wanted a visor for those hot, sunny days.


The LBS owner recommended some new gloves that he uses - Louis Garneau Ergo Air gloves. I wasn't looking for gloves but liked them and bought them. What a salesman. :)

Yesterday I ordered at TA Zephyr triple 48-38-28 crankset for my custom Oswald which is being built now, and should arrive in three weeks.

Last Wednesday, Vittoria Rubino Pro Intrepid tires.

What is a custom Oswald? Main reason I'm curious is my last name is Oswald.

Last purchase, a tire lever, chain tool (broke pin on last one), and brake pads.

Kev: Tom Oswald is a custom frame builder in Mansfield PA. I have been waiting close to six months for this frameset, and I'm getting excited. This will be my first truly custom bike, and it has been quite an experience being totally involved in the design of the bike. The hardest part, no fooling , was the color choice.

Replaced busted toe clip on a LeMond mountian bike I now use if I go for a ride around the neighborhood with the kids.

Two Halo headbands to keep the sweat out of my eyes.

Bought a pair of glasses last week. Nothing fancy, just to keep bugs and other stuff out of my eyes.

Three different sources but all for the same '98 Erickson tandem the same week:

1. FreeFlite LBS in Marietta, GA: A set of steel chainring bolts to replace the alloy ones that came on a set of daVinci crossover cranks. The alloy ones finally failed from fatigue after 15,000 miles.

2. Shop in Birmingham, AL during Rally: An Easton EA-70 seatpost to replace a USE Alien Ti that was wearing holes my cycling shorts.

3. From my builder in Seattle: A True Temper Alpha Q fork and a Ritchey WCS carbon specific stem to go with it.

CamelBak Mule. Now I can drink all the way up the mountain.

History of North Shore X (Nsx movies 1 through 5) They didn't have the armour I wanted so I bought a movie I wanted instead.

About 2 weeks ago- I got a brand new helmet. The other 2 just didn't have the feel I was going for, and it was driving me crazy! The new helmet worked out great. I feel safer now....

CyGo Night Explorer bike light. I wanted a different one but Donna talked me into getting the brighter light. I was looking at a 15 watt system and she talked me into getting the 25 watt lights. I'll get to try them tomorrow on my first commute to work.

Bought some Jagwire cable cutters and a Park 4th Hand, couple bikes worth of brake cables and housing for some projects that are finally starting to bear fruit. Also some Phil oil and grease and some Boeshield T9.

I did just buy a New/Used Frameset on Ebay... a 2001 Lemond Maillot Jaune 55cm... doesn;t really count as a LBS purchase... but i'm stoked nonetheless

Chris King 1 1/8" headset to go in my new Scapin. First ride yesterday. Nothing like steel, even if it is TIG welded rather than lugged. Was very nice! Looking forward to a great season and becoming at least an average climber.

My last purchase was a Travel Agent pulley for a neighbor's bike that I installed a new fork for. The new fork needs linear pull brakes, and he wants to keep his canti lever/shifter combo's. So, the only solution is to go with the Travel Agent.

My last purchase for ME, was a pair of Sidi Genius 3 shoes and a pair of Speedplay X-2 pedals, some new socks (Sock Guy- Mudflaps) and a pair of Pearl Isumi half finger gloves.

Fenders and a new computer because the other one went in the washing machine. It actually worked for about a minute after I pushed a button (everything was back to zero and time was 12:00).

I bought a new Sigma Sport 800 computer to replace an older Sigma Sport computer that had a big hairy crack in it.

I need some shorts.

I got some Tri-Flo and a Cateye Cordless 2 computer today.

I put some tri-flo on my 5-year old son's chain and he says "WOW DAD, I can go faster and stop better now"

A couple of weeks ago I finally remembered to go by and pick up an extra tube to throw in my under-seat bag. Total purchase was something like 4 bucks...lol. :D
