Southern California - So Cal Invasion - Do you come in Peace? Pics Please

I've noticed lately that there have been quite a few FOOsters peeking as well as posting over here in So Cal (I've interacted with many of you, and I'm quite happy to see you over here). Not everyone in So Cal has been in FOO (I assume, anyway). So, why don't those of you who are non-Californians post "who you are and where you are from" with a pic of yourself and/or your bike - or even, yourself ON a bike. That a way, we know a little more about you.

Oh, and what would be really interesting as well is what type of weather conditions you guys are riding in at present (or not able to ride in if that's the case). This may very well help us spoiled So Calers to stop whining about our "cold" conditions and appreciate what we've got! :p

Well...I'm not a FOOster but my "relationship" with BF SoCal started last year when I got some info for routes in and around Seal Beach (where my Mom-in-Law and eldest daughter live). There wasn't even a regional forum at that point but I got some good info from CycleFreakLS, tinrobot, redal, OC Roadie, The Fixer, Extort and others. I ended up riding the San Gabriel River route from SB to Azusa solo (watching for gangs the whole way!) and the New Years Day ride down the PCH from SB to Newport Beach (early turnaround).

Although I've lived in Austin the past 14 years, I'm a born and raised Californian (Bay Area...sorry M.E. no southern accent like Ravenmore). My wife was born and raised in Altadena. My wife's sister and her family live in Azusa and we've slept on the Rose Parade route 3 outta the last 5 years (for the parade, not 'cause we're homeless!).

Hoping to get in two rides with BF members on this trip out...on the 28th and Mt. Baldy on the 30th and I'm lookin' forward to meeting everyone!

Weather today in Austin is fog in the morning, clearing to clear skies by noon, afternoon high forecasted to be in the mid to upper 70's. I'm going to go do some climbing so I can represent TX with honor on the 30th!

no no no!!! i'm gonna ride my MTB in the snow! (so now that i've said that... we won't get any!) (of course i didn't mention that i'm only riding around the block... or maybe just around the yard!)

yes.... i come in peace MOSTLY.... but the attitude and personality can get fiery at times!
