My worst experience last winter was xc skating across a rather large lake with a strong headwind in - 15 degrees celsius without my windfront briefs under my skiclothes. I sat at a lodge that serves coffee with my then miniscule and very painful willy in my hand for twenty minutes.
Never forget to put on windproof undies when it gets really cold.

Try riding catheterized. Then you don't even need to stop.
You just have to coax Franklin back out of the shell. Think of you little buddy as a push-pop.

Has anyone else noticed that the OP has an obsession :D with a certain part of his anatomy?

Well us guys do tend to worry if the lil feller up and disappears, though he usually does pop up sooner or later, most likely at an inopportune time.

If this were the Foo forum I would say he needs to find some women to follow then. But as this is the winter cycling forum, and as I have no personal experience of this phenomenon, I will defer to you gentlemen for advice to the OP .

A bigger annoyance for me is trying to keep it out of the snow.

Well, if you wrap it around your neck three times and double-knot it twice, like I do, your body temperature will keep Willy wild. And you can always tell when mother nature calls: it gets rather hard to breathe, like a python wrapped around your neck like prey. Good luck!

Oh just buy a set of toastie toes and put one on the outside of your undies, that should keep the little pecker happy!

Seriously? You'll want to insert a small glass rod in there at the start of a ride, make sure it's pointed up so you don't put any pressure on it and shatter the glass rod by accident.
