I'm planning my first tri this summer ... local sprint distance. It might be called a sprint but the run is way longer than I've done before, ever. I'm sure I can do it, but what are some good places to get info for a clueless n00b runner? good forums would be useful too.

You could check out beginnertriathlete.com. They have some good resources as well as training plans. Also, runnersworld.com has some good articles/plans as well.

Good luck on the tri...

Longer than a 5K for a sprint?

It's 650m swim, 30k bike, 10.5k run ... so not exactly sprint distance

ok, it looks like you're a canadian from your location, so you can check out www.runningroom.com, they have a fairly active forum on there for Canucks. I like beginnertriathlete too, good site.
