but anyone have any experience with these bmx grips? ive ridden ourys for a while and love them, but im thinking about adding a few pieces of flair to my funbike and thought these were ... um... jazzy. so im wondering where they rate in stickiness, cushiness, and lastalongtimeabiltiy.

Yes, Big Cheese grips. I thought they were great at first, but after awhile they started to bother my palms. The stars are real hard while the rest of the grips are soft. The stars are what started to bother my hands. Salsa PepperJack Grips are kinda the same concept with hard peppers, the rest is soft. I actually liked these a little bit better. IMO if you want the most comfy grips, just stay with the ourys.

Can't go wrong with Oury's. I have them on almost all my bikes, mtb or otherwise. They come in a ton of colours, they are comfy, look the best, are one of the cheapest.

i have the stars and i have ourys. i love the ourys, the stars are more of an extra set that gets put in the corner and shunned.

I have Ourys on my mtb and some Big Cheese grips on a flat bar commuter. The Big Cheese are def not as coosh as the Ourys but they have enough grip to them and feel fine for shorter trips, never ridden them more than an hour or so at a time.

I used to have a set of those oakleys on my schwinn BMX when I was like 10. That schwinn is the only bike Ill ever regret letting go. It was the best frame I have ever owned. I remember clearing 15 foot gaps on it anf being the only kid in the neighborhood who could clear 14 of his friends(with a ramp). That frame could do everything. Trail, street, I even won a few BMX races on it.
Sniff, MEEEEEEMOOORIIIIEEEEES.

Ah, the good ole days
Have you priced Oakley 3s lately? Man, I wanted 3s for the bike in my avatar, but I couldn't find a pair for less than $50.00! $80-90 was more common. If you want blue ones, you're mostly out of luck.
I, too, miss my Scorpion with the yellow 3s...actually I took the 3s off before it was stolen, but they've long since disappeared.
I really miss being able to pop into any bike shop at any time to get a pair of Oakley grips.

Wish I could find the stickers for those bikes. I have both the 20 and 24 Predators.
I also wish they would bring back the ODI mushrooms.

i second the pepperjacks... i ran a set on my MTB for a long time and they were really nice. i actually converted to oury's from the pepperjacks, but honestly prefer the pj's better, at least for the trails, as long as i had on some gloves i liked the grip much better
