Foo - Necessary Evils

I'm sitting here in my office with my sunglasses on (not because I'm cool or anything) barely able to see anything close up. I can't even tell really whether or not I'm making any typos. Had my eyes dilated this morning, one of those necessary evils in life. Now I'll be pretty much useless for the next few hours. At least the doc said everything was perfect and that my eyes are in great shape.

Try wearing your sunglasses at night.

You won't be able to see any better, but you'll feel cool.

Last time I had my eyes dilated and then had to work, I could see the refresh on the monitor. Made me feel as though I might have some kind of special visual powers. Alas, as I looked around the office at the guys who go to the gym, I realized, with a long sigh, that I did not. :rolleyes: :lol:

And the only way I could see the screen at all was to use sunglasses. Expect to be useless for the next couple of hours. So you may as well stay here and foo around like the rest of us! :D

He's blind as a bat. That is why they put him in those planes with all those sensors and stuff. The kind of plane that will warn you if you get too close to another plane or a building or enemies and stuff. He can fly with his eyes closed. He can fly while he's sleeping. Stacey - the re-arranging of my office wouldn't have worked. I could still see distance and large things, like desks and chairs. Even the folders on my desk. Now... had you rearranged the contents of the folders, that would have taken some undoing! And the taking down would have begun in earnest!

OKAY looking... guess that's better than troll looking (except, of course a.troll - she's gorgeous, of course). Unless SBW likes trolls.....

Just a general health of my eyes check. It's been over 3 years since my last opthamalogical (vs just having the vision tested) check. Something you should do every 3-5 years in general. I'm on flight status in the military so the health of my eyes is pretty important and I've had laser surgery (PRK), too.

I tried baggies on the MTB. Kept snagging the saddle as I moved around. So I went back to lycra... function over form.

I've been told there are some baggies that don't catch, but at a hundred bucks a pop, it's not worth it to sample the shorts. Lycra works and is functional. That's good enough for me.
