Parkinson's, ALS, MS, are all being considered. Neurological disorders are tough to diagnose accurately; my mother had MS for more than two decades before finally receiving a definitive diagnosis.

I extend my best wishes for a speedy and uneventful recovery to Sheldon Brown, a fine gentleman and an undisputed bicycle expert.
