Mountain Biking - some of you may have seen these but...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I remember watching that first clip at a friend's house in Buena Vista, CO a couple summer's ago. My hands still sweat from watching that. If you listen real close, you can hear the poor guy yell, "Oh! Oh fu*k me!"

Maybe worst as far as the hardest single impact, but tumbling several hundred feet of rocky mountainside is more likely to cause multiple traumatic injuries.
BTW, I know Pete would probably object to this, but I read today that the U.S. Census bureau found in the last census that bike accidents account for the largest segment of consumer product accidents in this country. Maybe wearing a helmet isn't such a bad idea afterall.

I'm always amazed at people who do anything involving stairs. One of the big trends in snowboarding in the last few years is rail slides. This means riding your snowboard down the handrail beside a set of stairs, ideally with no snow on them anywhere except the bottom. Helmets are for chumps, etc. There's usually at least one video or photo a year of some unlucky rider with his/her ass actually split/torn open. That's gross...
I wish I had pictures of the fall that cracked my ribs, but I guess I could settle for this....
