I just got a new bike with a Fox 100RL and I noticed it's a little scratched up. There are also 1 or 2 small chips in the paint ... should I be worried that I got a used fork thrown onto my new bike or am I just being paranoid? Is there a way to tell if the fork is new?

There really isnt any to tell if the fork is new or used, but i wouldnt be worried about it. I scratched my lowers trying to put a sensor for a bike computer and nothing has shown up. It's a great all round fork, and if you really feel the need you can always put a thin coat of a clear adhesive over it to seal it up

my road fork had some paint rubbed off from the shipping box. Just happens sometimes. If it doesn’t look "abused" i would worry.

I wouldent be worried about the fork being used because it is probably new, but if you would have noticed the scratches and chips earlier you probably could have got some money off.
