I would like to put disc brakes on my 2001 Giant Iguana, it has a Rock Shox Judy TT front fork. What would be a good a good disc brake to put on it? any suggestions?

Avid mechanicals are a decent pick if you have budget restrictions particularly if your shifters and brake levers share the same handelbar clamp. Don't forget that you are going to have to buy a whole new disc brake front wheel.

I've had good experiences with the Avid's when I've ridden them as well. Like Spoke Wrench said, you will need new disc hubs (sometimes cheaper to get new wheels alltogether after dissasembly and re-spoking costs are added up) in order to run disc brakes. I'm not very familiar with the bike or whether or not the fork has disc mounts, but you will need to make sure the frame and fork are disc brake compatible. You can run a disc on the front with a V in the rear if cost contraints limit your spending. There are several threads on the forums about which discs have performed best and whether or not running a disc-front, V-rear setup is worth it. It might be worth a search.
