Hi all you So Cal riders. The plan for the christmas holiday is for me and my girlfriend to visit family in the southern California area. There's a possibility that we may take our bikes. On that note, what are some good routes in the 15-25 mi range going out of either Manhattan Beach or Costa Mesa (don't know which uncle we'll be staying with yet). Oh, my uncle also mention a day trip to a mountain a couple hours away for skiing. Do any of you happen to know which mountain that may be and how the skiing is like? Thanks for your help.

could be snow summit in wrightwood or somewhere up at big bear. don't know about the ski conditions, i already have too many expensive habits, don't want too add another one that you can't do year round. but it has been cold so there should be a reasonable amount of snow.

bring the bikes, Manhattan Beach is not too far north, but Costa Mesa is around the corner from several of us.
