Hi guys im looking to buy a new bike i had a cheap walmart one that bit the dust when i tried to do a crank slide and the cranks bent and the sprocket just folded. the bottom of the frame was pretty bent too. So im looking at some bikes in the 300-400$ price range the ones i ahve been looking at are

-Mirraco blend 1*
-Supercross mission
-Stolen Heist* & wrap?
-2hip soul*
-And eastern element*(still pretty pricy)
-specialized fuse 2?
-SE Quadangle pro?
-integral slauson*?

i Have put an "*" near the ones i like and a "?" near the ones i didnt have all the specs on or i wasnt sure if they were any good. if you could please put a suggestion and a reason or the specs of the ones i got a ? next to that would be great

-2hip soul
-Full 4130 chromoly frame. 2-Hip 4130 chromoly fork, 2-Hip chromoly Wack bars, SST Oryg detangler, Tektro U-brake, Wellgo pedals, Velo padded seat, micro-adjust post, 2-Hip 33T chainwheel, double-wall rims, Joytech cassette w/ 12T cog, 14mm axles, 3-pc 175mm chromoly cranks, Mid BB, 2 pegs, Kenda tires. 20.6" Toptube."

-integral as a last resort because of the 34 pound weight.
-Full 4130 chromoly frame, Integral chromoly fork with 14mm dropouts, 2-pc chromoly bars, 1-1/8" stem & headset, 36H Alex rims with 13T freewheel, 14mm axles, 3-pc 175mm chromoly cranks, alloy platform pedals, 36T chainwheel, U-brake mounts on seatstay, Integral seat with 9mm rails, Primo Walls tires, 2 steel pegs.

So based on these specs its between the mirraco and the stolen and the mirraco is 45$ cheaper so i will probably go with that

Stolen makes nice bikes. Stay away from Eastern bikes and their bad hubs. Mirraco should have some nice completes and Stolen always makes nice bikes... the 2hip is good too. I would either go with the Stolen or Mirraco though.

Go for the Integral, it has full 4130 parts and most of the other bikes you picked don't.

The Integral also weighs 34 lbs. The two Stolen bikes are also all chromoly, come with a cassette, weigh a lot less, and for the most part... are just better.

Probly sacrificing strenght.

The weight isn't that big of a deal. I mean, i like a light bike, but i'm not going to go out of my way.

The Integral has my vote, regardless of its stock weight. And don't forget he can still trim the post, and maybe the bars. And with the money he would save he can get lighter parts if he wants too. I picke dthe Integral becuase it had chromoly forks, bars and frame which means the more expensive of the parts are going to last him longer.

Won't the intergral come with pegs anyway? Stock pegs usually weigh alot. Talking of pegs i took mine off yesterday. Still not sure why but i'll remember

The Integral has some Primo parts though, which will make it nicer in the long run becuase it allready has that "custom" bike feel with nicer components than the 2 hip. And i wouldn't sacrifice chromoly bars for weight. Unless you are smooth as hell or like to buy new parts if you bail!

Stock pegs don't normally weigh a lot. My pegs are pretty light... they just don't work too well.

the first thing i do when i buy a complete is take off the stock pegs and go to the nearest bike store and buy some pegs that arent made out of lead cause the pegs add like 1-2 lbs by themselves

The Fit ones are nice, they are dual material, and incredibly light.
