Brew Your Own Beer get-together at BrewBakers (http://www.brewbakers1.com/)in Huntington Beach?

This is a two-part process, so whatever date we choose for brewing, we (or some, or just me :p) will need to return two weeks later for bottling and pick up. I won't mind bottling & bringing home for those who can't make it. It'll cost ya though. :p (kidding!)
Brewing day will last approx. 2-3 hours
Bottling day will last approx. 1 hour
Options:
Half Batch for $115.00
3 cases
36 twenty-two ounce bottles
Full Batch for $199.00
6 cases
72 twenty-two ounce bottles
Root Beer
5-gallons for $65.00
Click here (http://www.brewbakers1.com) to see the available beers, click on "Brewing Beer" then click on "84 Different Beers".

I would like nothing more than to finally meet all of you prolific folks... especially in such a fun setting. Sadly (and I do mean sadly), I'm leaving for the Land of the In-Laws (Atlanta) tomorrow morning.
Have fun!

What is this thing they call beer?

It is a tasty, life giving elixir that is imbued with the spirits of grains (and sometimes fruit or honey) to create a frothy sensation that tickles the palate and provides a heightened sense of relaxation.

Not sure yet. I wanted to make sure there'd be interest first. Maybe I should throw 2 or 3 dates out and see what the majority rules.
Definitely after the new year though!

Hey Mr. Beanz, you must convert to my religion. We drink beer and do a whole lot of other things. Eventually we go to hell and spend the rest of the time there with all our buddies. Your punishment there will be to ride a MTB on a nice tar road (I believe there is a lot of tar in hell).:D
And you must drink beer if you want to be considered a serious cyclist :D (I guess you started a thread about this one).
Cheers

If it's a day that I can make it, I'll make it! My neighbor is just showing us the ropes of brewing beer and he'll probably love to go too. Heck, if I can't ever seem to make it to a BF ride, I can at least have a BF beer!
Should we start deciding what kinds of beer to brew? Personally, I vote porter or stout in the Winter. IPA in the non-Winter. That's how my drinking schedule goes.

Good eye, Caligurl! It says "Smuttynose Brewing Co.". It's a brewery somewhere in New Hampshire (that's where JimmyNH comes from ;) ).
Yeah, you guys and gals seem a very cool bunch and I would love to join you for a beer and meet all of you. I've met Caligurl, Mr. Beanz, Sir-Lance and I ride with Rick quite often (when he settles for a "wussy" club ride of 60 miles or less ;) ) but that's about it.

Yeah yeah.... let's start discussing what we want to brew. In the meantime, I'm going to give them a call and get some specifics, including some available dates! :D

Hey I was noticing some of the responses about "hating beer". If you "hate beer", this might be due to the selection that you've tried. I would gently suggest that if anyone's hatred springs from having allowed a Budweiser or Miller or Coors (or any other mainstream lager) product pass through your lips, home and craft brews can be virtually a completely different beverage.
Ok, you still might hate craft beers, but at least then you can say for certain that you hate the best! And I'll volunteer that if you try a beer that you don't like, I'll finish it for you :)
