Yeah, just be careful. That stuff is toxic as hell. Wear gloves.

Plain old water has always worked fine for unglued ones for me, or ones that were stuck on with hairspray. From a spray bottle works best for me, but I've just pulled up an end and drizzled and smooshed around with success as well.

Doesn't WD40 leave an oily residue?

I always use Denatured Alcohol (Or everclear), works great, evaporates quickly.

i jsut use rubbing alcohol. Take a butter night, dip it in the alcohol and slide it in the grip and rub the knife all the way around the bars. **** slides right off.

Jam a screwdriver under the grip and spray with Windex.

Trust me on this one ---Windex.

if you have access (bike shop, service station, buddy's house)...the compressor is the best. i've done them all. it's the easiest, fastest, and requires no sloppy liquids to clean up off the garage floor.

Use rubbing alcohol instead of screwdriver and peel off as describe above.

I prefer using chopsticks to screwdrivers because it will not scratch the hell out of your bars.

My brother broke his leg when he was younger and he used chopsticks to scratch at itches under the cast. They weren't quite long enough so he would lose them every now and then. When they cut the cast off 5-6 chopsticks fell out. It was pretty funny.

but when at home i sometimes use a plastic syringe to squirt soapy water/whateva way under the grip..
same idea with wd40 and the long nozzle, but a littel cleaner

Plastic syringes are handy as hell for other stuff too. I originally got one from my dentist to wash out the bloody holes where my wisdom teeth once were, and now I use it three or four times a year. It's surprising how often a tiny high pressure jet comes in handy.

roll it off. usually works with ourys and moderately loose grips. start inside, and rolll baby. and lube the outside of the grip so it slides easily.
