Well I got some stripped threads on both cog and lockring.
Are there enough threads to just rotafix and red loctite and never change the setup

or should I cut out the hub and make it into some more paperweights?

I see no damage.

Is it a flip/flop?

Tighten the cog and lockring on there, ride it until it is really stripped. Then paperweight it.

you could use jb weld too. if the threading is gone, it'll be more effective than loctite. if you're just going to paperweight it, you could send it to me instead and i'll try it.

JB Weld all the way. The stuff responds well to massive amounts of cleaning, so like, do that, and stuff...

Don't JB Weld it, that is ********. Just a red-loctite + rotafixa should keep it on, and you'll still be able to get it off when you want a paperweight.

Take it to a shop and get the threads chased and fixed. I stripped the threads on my Phil wood and was an easy fix with the treading die.

even if the threads are ruined?

is there any chance of using really thin cones and locknuts and reincarnating a rear as a front?

if so, that's what i'd do if i were you.

i got the same problem. this is what i found about jb weld:
"had a friend who used locktite, then JB weld when the locktite broke free, on a bmx hub. eventually the JB weld broke too"
anyone knows where i could buy new rear hub online? Double fixed DA?
