Resurrection Time!
The Bullit is Back! Bigger, bolder, badder and better than ever before, the new and freshly evolved Bullit marks another
chapter of Santa Cruz's single pivot revival.

available spring 2007

After taking a couple years off, this all-duty workhorse returns to the lineup ready to tackle anything and everything, smoothing out trail rides and sucking up downhill punishment with sweet handling, low maintenance simplicity.

Custom drawn double-butted aluminum tubes form the completely redesigned front triangle, while a new and vastly stiffened swingarm pivots on a massive 20mm axle riding in oversize bearings (oversize bearings that come with a lifetime guarantee, no less).

There's over 7-inches of rear wheel travel, it'll fit 8-inch brake rotors in the back, and the stout 1.5" headtube and gusseted top and down tubes allow you to put whatever the hell kind of fork you want up front.

Combine that with the ability to run either standard, q.r friendly,135mm rear dropouts, or 150mm thru-axle dropouts, as well as an optional floating rear brake kit, and the Bullit is equipped to handle any kind of terrain imaginable.

Choose your target, and squeeze the trigger...

the new Superlight!

I've always wanted one of these.... the new version has simply re-ignited that desire!
Especially with the new tubular swing arm connection instead of the old, blocky CNCd one!

Sooo . . . they finally officially unveiled the Bullit. Production version looks even better than the proto spy shots. It's still no ASX but it's a definite improvement. Glad to see it back in the SC fold.

I really like the new Superlight. As a devoted hardtail rider the simplicity of a true singlepivot is appealing to me.

Newsflash: Most simple single pivot designs look pretty similar; not anything to patent for the most part, unless you're adding swinglinks and whatnot. It also looks a lot like my Weyless-67 frame. And a whole bunch of other single pivot frames out there. Whoopdeedoo.

yeah, santa cruz has been in the single pivot game for a long time - they are now undergoing a revival due to modern pedaling platform shocks that help take that last bit of bob out. And santa cruz can keep them around to fit them in under their new, more expensive VPP designs.

Now they just need to bring the Super 8 back (or not? :D)

66 - - I'd beg to differ with ya, but we'd just go 'round and 'round on that one. My son has a Bullit and it's been a solid rig for him. I like the niceties they've added like the ISCG tabs, 1.5 head tube, etc.

Very nice. Any one heard anything about the rumor that SC is going to make a "budget minded" Blur overseas? I've heard it around, but haven't really seen anything else about it.

I'd say that solid is a good way to descibe the Bullit. It's not new or high tech but its just a reliable versitile bike.
