Still have no snow here - we haven't for, I don't know, forever?

I sort of like it that way having grown up in Western NY.

I've lived in Colorado all my life I wouldn't change it for the world. Most people think we are always under snow in the winter, its not like that at all. :)

I don't mind this snowstorm. :) We need the moisture and its going to be beautiful at Christmas time:D

Costa Rica says wonderful too though:)

I'm dreaming of a green Christmas
Just like the one I used to know, (I remember always wanting white, and getting green!)
Where the treetops glisten, (with rain, not frozen rain)
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the flow (mud flow that is, rumour has it Santa got stuck in Costa Rica once)

I visited Colorado once and thought it was beautiful. Lots of people visit Costa Rica for Christmas - in fact, our daughter and her husband are flying down today for Christmas - we are very excited.

Grrr.... It's supposed to be something like 50* here this weekend and into next week. WTF?? This is New England!!

I'd move to CO, but it seems the snow is wherever I'm not so I don't want to ruin it for anyone else.

I'm sorry. This has what high school has done to me. Anything that possibly can be construed as sexual, everyone starts cracking jokes about. It's in my nature now. I can't stop it.

Reporting from Grand Junction....

Here in the banana belt of Colorado, we only got a couple inches, and it's melting.

We had that storm on sunday. We only got 6" or so in the valley, sounds like you guys got a bit more! Riding in the snow is fun! Don't pass up the chance for some really awesome snow riding! When you fall, it doesn't hurt much so just go do it! I've already posted this picture a couple of times in other places, but I like it. Taken sunday:

Ahh, what I would do for 24" of powder to hit SLC over night...

Skiing in the avenues, snowshoeing downtown... *droool*

I'm partial to truck boarding (where you have a truck pull you around town on a snowboard). Skiing in the Aves would be rad too.

Snowy, I just read an article about the blizzard. How much snow did you get?

At my house we goty 27.5 inches of snow.

Boyfriend and friends made some snowboard jumps out back behind our condo.

We were able to get one of my co-workers home safely!!!

People are getting out, some won't probably till Friday or Saturday.

I love this but I get cabin fever pretty fast so I'm ready it to return back to normal. :)

My wife is in Denver and supposed to fly back to RI on the 24th. I wonder if she'll get out of Denver in time for Christmas?

I remember many Christmas snow storms from my years in Colorado Springs, they are all fond memories. Things slow to a crawl, you can cross country ski around town, people help one another, and it is beautiful with the snow, the mountains are pure white and Christmas lights coloring the snow at night.
Sorry for those traveling, happy for those who can appreciate the beauty of it.
