Mountain Biking - Panasonic Brand?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I think this bike is too new for the Classic and Vintage forum, and it is a mountain bike, so..... Found this thing on a junk pile in the woods the other day. I needed some of the parts, so I brought it home. Is the frame worth saving, or is this Walmart/ToysRUs stuff? Don't remember the model off hand.

I didn't think they made any bikes that were really pieces of junk. They basically became Raleigh as they later started making bikes for them.

They make real quality bikes for some domestic companies. I imagine the bikes they make for themselves have some integrity as well.

A pic would be good.

Thanks for the replies. No pics available for a while. I discovered this bike while my daughter and I were doing a morning run on a woods road near my parents house, where the bike is now. Won't be getting back up there for a couple of months or so. In any case, we will keep it for a possible restoration in the future.

I have a Panasonic Mountain Cat (I am guessing late 80's) in my basement that is my grocery getter. I love it!! But with its horizontal drop outs I have been considering doing a SS conversion to it on the very cheap....
