With any drop or jump over 12", my fork bounces the front of my bike
right back off the ground.
How can I adjust this until I get around to upgrading it?
Should I increase or decrease the tension?

I think you need to lower the rebound.

If your fork doenst have rebound adjustment, then I would say the only think you can do is get a new fork.
It's a simple coil spring fork with no damping. There isn't much you can adjust, and I'd bet the fork wasn't designed to handle any jumping or drops. Definately upgrade.

If you have a Sr Suntour dealer near you, try to get Suntour's Axon RL. It is lightweight and very adjustable.
