ok, so if i'm converting a road bike and want to use a flip-flop hub...

if the chain does not align, i assume you HAVE to make the adjustment at the FRONT chainring/BB/crank? cuz if i respace and redish the rear wheel to align one side of the flip-flop, then when i flip the hub to the other side, the wheel would be off center. correct?

Yes. Unless you are running a really crazy setup with two chainrings...

Well, the wheel won't be off center so you can respace & redish as your heart desires. Only the cogs' chainline will be different so both will not be aligned w/ the chainring.

Just get a shorter BB (most likely the culprit) or learn to live with it. Bad chainline isn't the end of the world.
