Classic & Vintage - Anyone have any knowledge about Marquis?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well, after all the huff and fuss, I think I may have found a red mixte. But I can't find any material on this bike at all. So, is anyone an expert?

I know it's small, it's red. It apparently has steel rims, but the seller (the Community Exchange Bike School) can't find any marking for steel. I would rather have drops, but I like the saddle.

Anyone have any comments? I have more photos which were e-mailed to me, I'll post those when I get home. The photos show "Marquise" and "Coast to Coast"

Nobody? I guess I will just have to buy the thing, be the only one on my block to own one, eh?

If you can find a good frame that you like, and it fits you, everything else is replaceable. Yeah, it's going to cost a few bucks to transform what you don't like, but if we're talking a daily rider its invariably worth the money.

Well, this wouldn't be a daily rider, it would have to take turns with the seven other bikes. The question remains, does anyone know anything about the brand? Perhaps I'll get the lovely silver Stella instead. No, Dr. Deltron's Raleigh, to be repainted at a later date...

All right, I've given up on this one. I can't believe that no one here knows anything about Marquis Bicycles. I also can't figure out how to post photos from the e-mails that were sent to me. Anyone?
