Here's the story. I don't have anymore vintage bikes to ride. The ones I did have were sold to buy my Orbea. Problem is the guys that have the old steel are "clowning" me when I show up with that bike for a ride. So because I like Japanese bikes, I'm looking for the higher end models of a Panansonic (DX5000 or Team), Fuji (Pro), Nishiki (Pro) or Miyata (Team) made bike. Wish I could afford a Zunow but I can't. My neighbor has a Pansonic DX5000 but won't part with it. Anyways, a frame would also be great (60cm C-T) if it's in great shape. I have a lot of Suntour NOS Cyclone and first generation Superbe parts to put on it. Thanks.

Look for some of the older Schwinns like Peloton/Prologue. The frames were made by Panasonic and I've been riding one on and off for 20 years.
Patience. After a couple of months of trolling around, I was convinced that I wasn't going to be able to find a decently-priced vintage European frame in my size (62-63cm usually fits best). Not long after, I blundered into a 1972 Bob Jackson, the frame of which I'm building up with new parts after a restoration, at a completely affordable price. If your target bike is in a narrowly focused range, it just takes longer ...

I judge sellers more on the content of the ad over 0 feedback (you have to start somewhere). He's supplied good details and pictures, and does not come off as a complete idiot, so I would consider it a safe deal.
Looks like a good bike as well. I would like to find one in my size one day. I turned a cherry 60cm last year. That bike was really gorgeous in person. One of the few Japanese road bikes that really springs my girder.

I wish I had been on BF when I came across a pre-Raleigh Carlton in your size at a garage sale.
It was one of 3 bikes there, and the cheapest...

I've noticed that the "team" quality Japanese bike don't get offered on E-Bay very often. Maybe not many of them were sold in the USA to begin with, so not many are available today.
The better Schwinn models and Centurion models are offered on E-Bay a regular basis. Any of the 1985 to 1990 Schwinn models with Columbus frames or the top Centurion models with Tange Prestige, Tange One or Tange Two frames are nice riding bikes. I suspect that the Schwinns were made by Panasonic.
