Delivery wasn't suposed to happen until after 1st week of January. Oh, yeah. I've gotten old and soft which is the price I've paid for being a desk jockey now for 10 years. But, hey, the old part would have come no matter what, and so do cold toes. But not anymore...

They charged in about three hours. It couldn't have been easier. The literature that came w/ the product says that the remote will work w/in 3 meters as an on/off switch. The insole will self-regulate to approx. 100-F and will crank-up in colder weather. When the insole is warm, it will decrease the output. And they fit perfectly (not too bulky) into my road and mtb shoes.

The Sidi Toasters... hmm. Well, NY hasn't seen the winter extremes of the NW or of my old home, Denver, but I put the insoles in for the last couple days and I have to say that the heat is just good enough for my feet not to get cold. But that is not a fair statement given the mild temps of the last few days that I've had them. I was out just past sunset for the last two days and the temps never got below 40F, nor was I wearing booties. Nevertheless, I felt the heat from each side in a manner that did not make me warm and certainly not too hot. But at dusk for the last two nights, I was getting chilly and the insoles bumped up the comfort level in a way that was not a stark difference from just sitting in my car (does that even make sense?).

Aside from the heat, my left foot was pressed to accomodate the higher midsole, but that's just me and my flat foot). All things considered, I think that these will make a big difference in my night rides for the next few months.

Interested in the feedback.

100 degrees seems very close to what I'd expect my foot to keep it warmed to. Maybe it's just to keep heat from escaping through the sole?

I just got a pair for xmas tonight. I have them charging now and anxious to try them out! There's 2 feet of fresh snow w/ temps at 15 degrees here. I'll let you know how they work:D
