BMX - Mountain Bikers!!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Wrong about...?
and your reason for not liking them is the same reason most skaters didn't/don't like BMX'ers...they get in the way, they don't know the proper etiquette...
Wrong about that even being close to a BMX.
And every town i've been in, skaters and BMX'rs have got along fine. But as soon as some guy on a 8X8 dually rolls over our banks, **** flys.

how is it not close (and we are talkin' about this (http://www.firemansbikes.com/), right?) other than the larger size, what EXACTLY makes it not close? I know it's not exactly the same, but sayin' it's not close is a stretch.
Skaters and BMX's haven't always gotten along (when it comes to the skate park debate). it really wasn't that long ago, and still happens in some places, that skaters (at the parks) didn't want the bikes there.
well i'm dumping my hardrock frame for a P.2 cromo, which i will be riding around a skate park.

And the reason we dont like mountian bikers in parks is that no matter what town your in, mountian bikers DONT know the rules of the park. They'll sit in the bowl till they tire out, blatantly cut you off when your trying to hit a line, and just do tire taps/fuf's off of stuff, yet they still think BMXing isnt real biking because we dont do drops, and because of their flaming arrogance they refuse to watch a BMX video to see how big people actually go on these little rigid bikes. Plus IIRC in the whole world, there are only a handfull of bike only parks. Skaters and BMX riders get along just fine in alot of the spots i've ridden, but the mountian bikers are all the same.
^ Is it me, or does this post make you look stupid?

What I think is funny is that you're complaining about another forum.
I've never been i the mountain bike forum, but I have been here before, trying to get the name of a "crappy" bike. OMG wrong thing to do, only one person actually tried to answer it other than just say "don't get that bike, it sux".

Mountian bikers like to play in our parks, and it is quite often annoying.
Just like when they ruin our trails.

As do I. I don't even know anyone that "rides mountainbikes".

I didn't read through this thread, but I find it hilarious that mountain bikers are progressing by doing things done on a BMX a decade ago.

You ever see a set of BMX trials and how smooth they are?
We strive, hard, to keep our trails kept up and smooth, but it's hard to do when you constantly have mountianbikers with big knobby tires coming up and rolling lips and casing jumps.

I'm really in the mood to ride some trails... or take off my brakes, slap on some plegs, and the new KHE reverse freecoaster coming out soon, and ride some street. I've decided if I ever get a new wheel, it's going to have a freecoaster hub.

Freecoasters are now the new trend, i'm not really into all the trends except I do like my large bars.

The only trend I want to get into is the freecoaster trend. It just looks like a lot of fun. I want one. Except I might go brakeless... but that's only because I pretty much never use my brakes so there's no real point to have them.

I think they are too big for me too but I just want to play around with them and see what it does for me because my bars hurt my wrists when I do nosemanuals.
