Hello;

I started cycling again after gaining weight, and I lost 40 pounds over a few months, riding my cheap Trek hybrid.

After a post work sojourn today I decided that rather than buying a new car I would go buy a new bicycle.

So I went to my local shop and test rode a Giant OCR3. It's so light and fast I was sold on it immediately.
I'm picking it up tomorrow - December 23rd. Merry Xmas, me.

I found bike forums when I came home and looked for the Giant OCR3 on Google an found bikeforums.net.

So here I am.

cheers.

That will be great if you are in a place where you can ride at this time of the year. Do you ride for transportation purposes, or just as a fitness tool?

I live in Southern california - it's a little cold (by the local standards) and it's been windy, but it's certainly no chore to ride at pleasant. We'll probably get one or two insane storms and roads will get washed out and boulders will block canyon roads, but for the most part it's fine.

Isnt that awesome to burn those calories while riding. I find biking to be one of the more physical activities one can do and I like to do it because I can eat some bad food, burn the calories riding and stay slim. I live in WV and it is suppose to be 64 degrees this Sat. so I can ride in weather like that. That's awesome. have fun riding!!

Welcome to the forum! I guess we have something in common. I bought a Trek hybrid (7300), and after losing 45+ lbs riding it (and running & other stuff), I just got a Giant OCR C2. I also got a 2nd bike shortly thereafter, and I'm considering upgrading my Trek now......(it's easy to get into the gear acquisition business).

Again, welcome and congrats on your efforts!
