Where can I find some rules and regulations for track racing, as well as classifications. I'm becoming very close to getting my Giant Omnium frameset, and I'm looking for some 32-36 hole rims and hubs.
I'm 16 years old, and I'll be 17 in late June. I hope to be driving to MTV to race, but the only problem is that I have no clue what class I would be in, or even my competition. If anyone could point me towards some of that stuff, it'd be much appreciated.

Current USA Cycling track racing rules are in the USCF Rulebook (http://www.usacycling.org/forms/USAC_rulebook.pdf) located on the USAC rules/regs page (http://usacycling.org/news/user/story.php?id=369)
Track racing is split into categories exactly like road racing (1-5 for men, 1-4 for women) and age classes (espoir, elite, masters). Many (most?) tracks require some sort of certification/orientation before you can ride/race on them, so you should contact the organizers at MTV (http://www.majortaylor.info/) for local details.
Trackies are generally nice, but are also much quicker than roadies to tell you if you've done something dumb or dangerous. It's not because they want to give you a hard time, but because they want everyone on the same page as far as safety and etiquette-- things happen fast and in a small space and it's much more fun for everyone involved if everyone follows some basic etiquette rules (which you should get in an orientation class).
