Ive heard these guys here and there but didnt pay much attention until I heard their song Black Parade the other day. I got that album yesterday and I gotta say there isnt a song on the album that isnt #1 material. They are very good. I usually dont like new music as bands nowdays dont seem to have any talent and are boring. These guys atleast on this album are so good. Thought Ild share it with you guys who have almost gave up on music in the last decade like I have.

I liked the older stuff by them, especially the song Helena and the ghost of you.

I hate to hijack but I have always thought that 'emo' did not deserve its own genre. Its just rock. Besides, the whiny thing has been going on since the 80's.

you are right about one thing though, there is nothing 'experimental' about my chemical romance. They are bland bad religion rip off baloney. Mall punk with eyeliner. wrote a couple of decent songs though, I must admit.

you're right, it is a generational thing. kids like em because they're cool and edgy, 18-25 year olds hate em cos they're really uncool, and then there are people like me who are 35, and have no idea what's cool and what isn't - they just know a catchy tune when they hear one.

i get sick when i hear em, and it's not because they're uncool, it's because the music they release is mindless music. Im not saying the members themselves are bad musicians, they are just puppets for a big ol' company who donest give a **** about the quality of music.

I used to feel this way about corporate rock myself until I realized that it is just as stupid to dislike something because everybody likes it as it is to like something because everybody does. Or because the TV tells you to. You get the point. Is this group marketed by people who could give a crap about the quality of the music? Yes. Does that make the music bad? No.

they wrote decent music when they were on eyeball records, but i've noticed that when some smaller bands step up in the industry; they step down in terms of music quality. any correlation? i believe so.
