Introductions - I'm old...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm old and starting to smell funny. Kinda like talcum powder. I'm grumpy and prefer doing things my way. I can be taught, but grudgingly. I've lost most of my hair, and what remains is gray. I now carry a spare tire with me wherever I go. My knees hurt constantly.
Can you relate? :)

Isn't the line, eat more possum, less coon?
It's off to the 50+ forum for you, Juggler2.
Do you have a bike?

Don't we know that signature from somewhere? Is today April 1, or December 24?

I wouldn't know, I retired at 47. I wouldn't recommend anyone follow my example though. ;)
I have a Schwinn Continental, that I purchased at a LBS several years ago. However I prefer to ride a '68 Schwinn Typhoon cruiser I reconditioned.
My goal is to ride across lower Michigan next year. From the west side of the state to the east side. That may seem pretty modest to most of you, it seems almost herculean to me as I plan on it. :D
Well, I'm off to the 50+ forum... I wanna get there early and get a good seat!
