Foo - Firedancing video!

Shadiyah kombucha kicked my lazy lump of butt into shape and inspired me to post a YouTube video of my firedancing. It's a medley I pieced together from this semester's recordings.

:lol: Indeed, it sure took less than six months. But excellent, nonetheless.

I once saw a "fire-eater" in Brussels 20 years ago. Everyone watched his 8-minute act, and started to walk away. I ceremoniously gave every bit of money I had in my poor student's pocket, 'cause I knew the risks he took to earn his living. Others suddenly stopped, and came back, and also gave money.

Anyway, love that you can do something you enjoy, at the risk of occasional chest scars. You only go around once. Grab the brass ring by its balls! :D

Most excellent and in all the years of going to hippie festivals, concerts and large ski and biking events (surprisingly there is ALWAYS fire dancers) I have never seen a male fire dancer.

I sure would like to see the inclusion as the movements are more powerful. It would be an excellent contrast instead of the typical female style.

Yeah, some of the clips were from when I first started fire staff...that was WAY early this year. Actually, that was about February. I need to get more clips of me eating fire and some of me fire hooping.

Fire eating is really my forté. Fire hooping is just crazy fun!

Very impressive. I tried my hand at poi this summer only to realize its much more difficult than it looks.

Alfster: poi is considerably more difficult than staff. I don't like the ability to tangle the chains...eek!

I'm a fire juggler (torches) from years past. Much less chance of injury ... but not nearly as impressive as poi. We used to pass torches amongst multiple people in various patterns. That was kinda cool. My wife is into poi so I'm sure I'll be doing more next summer.

Funny thing is...juggling is something I've had to give up on learning. Despite having many different people attempt to teach me and having a background heavily involved in hand-eye coordination, I just simply cannon juggle. Silly, really.
