View Full Version : What a fantastic day to ride in So Cal !
Wow ! What a perfect day ! Mid 70's with a ton of bright and warm sun. Hardly any traffic out where I am at.
Just got back from a nice long ride down Pacific Coast Highway and then back up Encinal into Westlake Village.
I just turned 5500 miles for 2006; I'm in heaven !
Hope all you and your loved ones holiday(s) are filled with joy.

Yeah, nice day here too in Upland. Not riding today as I've ridden the trail the last two days. Saving the legs for tomorow's GMR ride. Saving the legs hoping I can keep up with the Brandy's, Tiffanie's and all the other OC jocks!:D

LOL...'The Brandy' is injured! I'm still coming tomorrow, but not sure how I'll do!
Wish I could make the ride tomorrow but I am back to work ! :(

Injured! How?...eh, you'll be fine once the injury warms up! Once it cools back down after the ride, that's when you cry like a baby!:D
I had my first crash yesterday. :o Currently nursing a bruised/swollen/road rashed elbow a very bruised thigh and a slightly sore hand.

These scumbag employers got us by the B@LLS nowadays! I remember back in the 80's, once we were off for the holidays, we were paid. Now they fixed it so that if you don't work the day before and the day after the holidays, they don't pay you for your days off!
The more I think about it the more upset I get! I just might go back in next Tuesday and quit!:p

Ouch! Oooo!Ow! Sorry!..I haven't crashed in 10 years of riding! Watch tomorrow be the day. I know I shouldn't have said anything, so if I suddenly I vanish from the road on a switchback, send a search party please!:D

I havn't been paid for a Holiday in years, until they put me on Salary.
Now I get paid for holidays, but if I take a day off they ding me for vacation pay.
This means that if I take a few days over a year, I don't have S**t let for Vacation!
So, they get me either way!!

It was a great morning for a ride here in San Diego, but there will be no riding for me for at least a week or two. On saturday I went over the handlebars and landed on my right shoulder resulting in a shoulder contusion, some minor road rash on my right knee/elbow, and dents in my helmet from where the bike landed on me. My right arm is in a sling and moving around is a pain sometimes, but it could have been worst so I'm counting my blessings. On a more positive note, I have been able to move my arm around today with less pain and I did enjoy a nice walk with mom and my younger brother this morning.

LMAO... The only problem with this is that I am the boss. ;) It is my business and therefore I only take about 5 days off a year :(

I'm surprised we didn't see each other. I went up PCH and back over Latigo then home via
Mulholland. Just a thin club jersey and I got too warm. Nice. It's good to be spoiled once and a while.
